This Online Privacy Policy applies to information about you that Concord Labs, Inc. d/b/a Syrup (in this Policy, “Syrup,” “we,” or “us”), may obtain about visitors to Syrup.io (the “Site”) and individuals (our “Clients”) who use the Syrup platform (the “Service”). With respect to data about Site visitors and Clients, this Privacy Policy also describes how we may collect, use, and share information we obtain about them through the Site; the choices Site visitors and Clients have regarding our use of information we obtain about them through the Site; the ways in which we safeguard the information we collect; and how to contact us regarding our privacy practices.

This Privacy Policy DOES NOT apply to information that we collect offline or on any other Concord Labs, Inc. product, or to any information that is collected by any third party.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We collect information from and about our Clients and Site visitors directly when you provide it to us and automatically when you use our Site or Service.

Information You Provide

We obtain information that visitors and Clients provide to us directly through the Site. The amount and type of information collected in this manner depends on the nature of our interaction and may include Personal Information, which is information that can be used to identify you individually, such as your name, email address, password, or telephone number. For example, we collect Personal Information from you when you create an account or seek to contact us. We may also keep records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and telephone numbers) if you do contact us. We may also collect job application information if you apply for a job with us through our careers page. If you use our services, you will be asked to provide additional Personal Information, including payment card information and the associated billing address necessary to complete transactions, including subscription fees.

Information Collected Automatically

In addition to information you submit to us, we may collect certain information using automated tools such as cookies, web beacons, and web server logs. The types of information we collect automatically may include IP addresses, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, language preferences, referring URLs, timing and length of visits, and pages viewed.

A ”cookie” is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. It may be possible to refuse to accept cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. Pages of our Site or Service may contain small electronic files known as “web beacons” (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit Syrup, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for related website statistics. 

“Web server logs” refer to the automatically generated files that record various activities and interactions between users and a website’s server. These logs typically contain information such as the IP address of the device accessing the Site or Service, the date and time of the visit, the pages viewed, the type of browser used, and any referring pages. We use these logs for troubleshooting, monitoring performance, analyzing trends, and ensuring the security and integrity of our Site and Service. These logs may be retained for a specific period as required by applicable laws and regulations. 

We may combine certain automatically-collected information with other information we obtain about you, which may include data we obtain from third parties.

Information about your use of this Site and other online services may be collected across time, devices, and websites, and used for numerous purposes including to associate different devices you use and to deliver relevant and/or retargeted content, including interest-based ads.

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not access the Site or Service and delete any related programs from your device. 

Information We Obtain From Partners and Other Sources

We also may obtain information about you from other sources (for example, from Gravatar) and combine that information with information you provide to us directly or that we collect automatically through the Site.

Data Analytics

We use certain third-party web analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand and analyze how visitors use the Site. Your web browser may have settings that allow you to transmit a “Do Not Track” signal when you visit various websites or use online services. How We Use Your Information

How We May Share Your Information

Syrup may disclose personal information we collect from visitors to this Site and Clients who use our Service to our employees, agents, vendors, consultants, contractors, and other service providers and affiliated organizations that need the information to carry out work on our behalf. For example, we use a third-party payment processor to handle payments for the Service that Clients submit through the Site. These third parties use the personal information to which they have access to fulfill the purposes for which we shared that information.

We also may share your information:

If we are required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process (such as in response to a subpoena or court order or similar government request for information);

To respond to requests by government agencies, including law enforcement authorities;

When we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity;

We reserve the right to disclose any information we obtain through the Site or Service to a buyer or successor in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (e.g., further to a merger, divestiture, reorganization, dissolution, liquidation, restructuring or any other business transaction), including negotiations of such transactions, whether as a going concern or as a party of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceedings, in which Personal Information held by Concord Labs, Inc. about Syrup Clients and Site visitors are among the assets transferred. Entities that acquire information from us in the context of a business transaction may continue to use that information in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you to control certain uses and disclosures of your information.


  • Tracking Technologies. You can change your settings to refuse all or some cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent through your internet browser. You can choose whether or not to allow Syrup to collect information through other tracking technologies. If you disable or refuse cookies or block the use of other tracking technologies, some parts of the Site or Service may then be inaccessible or not function properly. 


  • We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI’s website.


  • You may unsubscribe from receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions provided in those email communications. Please note that even if you opt out of receiving promotional communications from us, we may continue to send you non-promotional emails, such as communications regarding our ongoing relationship with you.


  • You may edit, alter, or delete information that you provided to us when you registered for an account or that you uploaded when using the Service by logging into your account and following the prompts to update or delete such information.

Information Security

We maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to help protect personal information collected or received through the Site. Although we use reasonable efforts to safeguard information, transmission via the Internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of your information collected through the Site.

Links to Other Websites

We may provide links to other websites or services for your convenience and information. Websites that are operated by entities not affiliated with Syrup may have their own privacy policies or notices, which we strongly suggest you review. Syrup is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked websites that we do not control.

Your State Privacy Rights

State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information. To learn more about California residents’ privacy rights, see the below California Privacy Rights section. 

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah each provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Confirm whether we process their Personal Information.

  • Access and delete certain Personal Information

  • Data portability

  • Opt-out of personal data processing for targeted advertising and sales.

Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia also provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Correct inaccuracies in their Personal Information, taking into account the information’s nature processing purpose.

  • Opt-out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

California Privacy Rights

This section is our Privacy Notice for California Residents (“Notice”) and applies to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”/”your”) and use our Site or Service, as contemplated under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”) and, together “CCPA/CPRA”).

If you wish to exercise your rights under the CCPA/CPRA, please contact us using any of the methods provided in the Contact Us section below. We will consider and process your request within a reasonable period of time. Please be aware that under certain circumstances, the CCPA/CPRA may limit your exercise of these rights.

We collect different types of information from users, and we use and/or disclose this information for different business purposes. The chart below identifies the personal information we may collect and lists the parties with whom we may share this information and for what business purpose.

Use of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one of the purposes listed in the chart. We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without first providing you notice. 

Sharing Personal Information

We may disclose and have disclosed in the past twelve (12) months personal information to third parties for business purposes as set forth in the above chart in this Policy. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold personal information.

We may share information with third parties for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising. For opt-out options, please see the Your Rights and Choices section below. 

Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise extending the retention period is required or permitted by law or subject to our retention policies as may be in place from time to time. The data storage period may vary depending on the scenario, product, and service. The standards we use to determine the retention period are as follows:

  • The time required to retain personal data to fulfill business purposes, including providing products/services;

  • Maintaining corresponding transaction/business records;

  • Controlling and improving the performance and quality of our Site and Service;

  • Handling possible user queries or complaints and locating problems;

  • Whether the user agrees to a longer retention period; and

Your California Rights and Choices

The CCPA/CPRA provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA/CPRA rights and explains how to exercise those rights. 

Our Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information

The only sensitive personal information we collect from you is necessary to perform the services you requested. We also may periodically receive unsolicited information from you that includes sensitive personal information; we make no further use or disclosure of that unsolicited information. Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information we collected about you. 

  • The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you. 

  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information. 

  • The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information. 

  • Copies of specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request). 

  • If we disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, a list of the disclosures made identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained. 

Correct/Rectify Personal Information

You have the right to rectify (correct, update, or modify) the personal information we collect about you. After making such a request, we will take commercially reasonable efforts to correct inaccurate personal information within 45 days of receiving the request. In the event an extension is needed, we may take an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary. In this case, we will provide you a notice of extension within the first 45-day period. 

Right to Opt-Out of Personal Information Sharing

You will be opted in by default to the sharing of Personal Information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out of the sharing of personal information at any time by emailing legal@syrup.io.

Deletion Request Rights

You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive your verifiable consumer request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records unless an exception applies. 

We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:

  • Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you. 

  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities. 

  • Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality. 

  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights or exercise another right provided for by law. 

  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 et seq.).

  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, specifically if you previously provided informed consent and deleting that information may seriously impair or render impossible the research’s achievement. 

  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us. 

  • Comply with a legal obligation. 

  • Make other internal and lawful uses of personal information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it. 

Exercising Access, Rectification, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights

To exercise access, rectification, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by:

Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:

  • Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative.

  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. 

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. We will only use personal information in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request. 

Response Timing and Format

We will try our best to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our written response to that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures will only cover the 12-month period preceding the receipt of the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another and should allow you to further transmit information if you desire. 

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request. 

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising of your CCPA/CPRA rights. Based solely on the exercise of your CCPA/CPRA rights, we will not, unless allowable under the CCPA/CPRA:

  • Deny you goods or services

  • Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties

  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services

  • Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level of quality of goods or services

Children’s Privacy

This Site is not intended for, nor targeted to, children under 16, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information from children under 16. If we learn that we have received information directly from a child who is under the age of 16, we will delete the information in accordance with applicable law.

Information for Users Outside the United States

If you are visiting the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect will be transferred to and stored on our servers in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer and processing of your personal data in the United States as described in this Privacy Policy. Please be aware that the data protection laws and regulations applicable to your personal data transferred to the United States may be different from the laws in your country of residence.
